I have a process that takes a bit more time but leads to more substantial results. 

1) I start with a complete proofreading for grammar, agreement, voice, tense, punctuation, and whatever Spellcheck missed. I've found that a deep dive proofreading reveals more trouble spots for editing than the normal quick editing read.

2) I follow that with a process that includes evaluating clarity, style consistency, continuity, flow, and whatever Grammarly missed.  My goal is to keep your voice intact by suggesting things for you to consider and having you do the actual rewriting. 

3) Finally, I do an aesthetic check to ensure that the "look" of every page invites the reader to continue.

4) I communicate back and forth with you during the entire process, making sure that I understand what you want and you understand what I’ve done to get you there.

• Although I'm pretty familiar with most of the word processing platforms, I prefer that the text be presented to me as a Word Docx, as I find that Word’s Track Changes and Comments systems provide a much better way of pointing out the questionable areas to you along with suggested solutions when compared to other word processing formats. And it is the industry standard when converting to Kindle or Print-On-Demand.

• I prefer working under a per/word fixed fee rather than an hourly rate. Please let me know your word count so that I may offer you a fixed fee. Both means of determining payment come out the same; but the per/word system eliminates the cumbersome, unnecessary hourly computation.

• I work out of my home in Nashville, Tennessee, and I can be reached seven days a week between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Central Time, which allows me to adjust to my clients' schedules in all North American time zones. I also have clients from Australia to Poland, so I am accustomed to working with the differences in time zones from all over the world.
